Verizon Loses More Subscribers In Q1

Looks like wireline and FiOS lead the way in losses as usual. Hatchet Hans tries to spin it as a great quarter on the call. What a load of BS.

"Broadband is doing fine". ROFL...FiOS is not even relevant they only operate in a tiny corner of the country. Not even national. Broadband will never be doing fine as long as Verizon owns it.

Years of slamming fake growth through tablets, HUMS, jetpacks, home phone connect. All that fake growth is going to come crashing down.

Ellis keeps squirming at the quarterly readouts, regurgitating garbage like "oh we had some accounting changes" and "oh we took a write down here" or "we have bonds due there".

All nonsense. House of cards.

All: Starting May 16th the 5G phone will cost $1,300 and is the first to support Verizon's 5G network without requiring an accessory.

did we all receive the cash for the 25 VZ shares this 2018 first quarter??

next year the share price for the 2019 award will be higher so the proceeds from the 25 shares will be more money????

implode will include AT&T as today sharing its vulnerabilities. The AT&T (T) stock price is -5% this afternoon.

VZ is not any better at this time and time will tell about Hans - as the jury is still out for the verdict for the VZ share prize.

Remember Hans was not successful as the former CEO at Ericsson, Telefonaktiebolaget LM Ericsson (Ericsson), Stockholm Sweden.

Hans of Garrisonville is a short timer. Hans has no value. Hans is all about Hans and Hans the foreigner has no idea how to lead a Dow 30 US Corporation.

Hans is all about cutting costs, displacements and outsourcing. Hans, Marc and Shankar have cost several good folks to be displaced. There are good workers that were displaced due to meritless and bias criterion. I know of at least 3 that deserve their jobs back and to make them whole again.

Look back in February I said this was going to happen and people said I was wrong. Fraud was a huge reason with the credit change

The article reads, “ ...The company said it lost a net 44,000 phone subscribers who pay a monthly bill in the first quarter, which was characterized by few big price-cut promotions...”

Is that wireless or landline? The article’s not real clear in differentiating.

You must not know how to read or are unfamiliar with Verizon. FiOS did well. Legacy wireline. The business that funded wireless and everything else, is losing market share as customers abandon copper and DSL for wireless and cable. This is not a surprise and why the company has been changing directions. Wireless a barely above steady state but holding its own. This was not a bad quarter and the future could be good.
