Thread regarding Ford layoffs

Wave 4

Can someone tell me what wave 4 entails? I saw one of the post that explained Wave 1, 2 and 3 were complete. Any information would be appreciated.

@xkrz the stress might not be worth it for everyone.

@z1rt you are not alone. A coworker was coerced into working insane amounts of OT to complete a project by May and given a large amount of off the books comp time instead of OT pay by manager. He was walked on bloody Tuesday. Comp time is gone. He is bitter. Lesson learned. Things happen. We move on. The manager has to look in the mirror everyday. He was bragging he knew who was on the list and had influenced it because he golfs and drinks with the senior leaders. If this is true, shame on the senior leaders. The manager is a blower so one never knows what is true.

Do not leave now .... wait for a package .... if none, then leave. Get as much as you can.

Completely agree with post id :@YJD3zUq-xpw

I was told for months that my job will stay and i dont need to be worried at all, ofcourse with a "save the behind" caveat that "anything can happen" in the end, but "i think you will be fine". And one day i was told that i am being let go. And this is the company that wants to boast that they are a trustworthy company.

My suggestion, anyone who has even a little doubt and can leave, should leave Ford asap.

Look on HR Online for the SIRP packages.

I agree. Ford used to be a company where you felt like part of the Ford family. That is no longer true. You are a number. You are a box on a spreadsheet. You are a person at a position and that's it. The incentive to work hard and do a good job has eroded. The people left are surrounded by the "culture" posters telling you how you are supposed to feel all while taking on additional work from the people who have been terminated.

Wave 4 is a slow form of toture. Anxiety, stress and worry. While the minions work, no one knows who stays and who goes. The a-- kissing, back stabbing, self promoting workplace is in full swing. It is a horrible atmosphere full of rumors and hush deskside conversations. We are all waiting for the axe to come down. That is wave 4 in a nutshell.

Wave 4 is disposed toconclude with LL5/LL6,& GSR,s. We are all being lied to. The top down layers method is b---s---. They want us worker bees to think every thing is fine and then lower the hammer. Bottom up is the only way to re-.org. 1st determine the workload, then work your way up with staffing requirements..... done! I think the way Ford is handling this will back fire on them. People are tired of being lied to.
