Thread regarding Union Pacific Corp. layoffs

Any info on what locations are in most danger from now on?

I generally don't like rumors, but given that most of them that I read on this site turned out to be true, I’m just gonna go ahead and ask. Any info on what locations might be closing next or in the near future?

If it’s owned by Onion Pacific you’ve got as much job stability as a Nokia salesman inside a Circuit City. All these people wondering if they are safe. People get the hell out the titanic is sinking.

Assume that no location is safe and prepare accordingly.

The only thing saving KC I think is location. We got trains going in all directions. Our fall back is we can't do a lot of heavy work due to facilty restrictions but we do a lot more then that place was ever designed for. But its up to vena and his linch mob what goes on.

If Vena feels your location is not needed. Shut err down!

Dallas is not an “end point”. There are two service units south of it that serve the gulf and mexico.

No one really knows but just guessing I'd say if your not at end point (Chicago, LA, Dallas etc....) ...and your shop is in the middle somewhere then you might be in danger of being closed. Total guess on my part though.
