Take your kid to work only if he is Damian from the Omen, and tell him to go at it.

Pontiac GPS was a fantastic day of learning for the kids and some of the most gracious people I have had the pleasure to meet , the engineering teams kept our kids engaged and we had a lot of fun , my kiddo was always looking forward to that and our summer picknic car show , it's a damn shame what has happened to GPS , I wish they wouldn't close it, now alot of potential little engineering kids parents will have alot to share with them as they grow and look to the college years . 2017 was the last time I brought my kiddo to work with me , such a stab in the heart for alot of us in Pontiac. Anyone from Pontiac that reads this , thank you for all the effort and fun for those times you guys are the best.

Were there even effort to do take your kid to work day this year?

I'm out of the loop since M---ord always had an excuse for not doing it when everyone else did, and I didn't pay attention to what other sites were doing.

Maybe hard to get volunteers these days?

Lets hope the 10 to 20 year olds of this generation aren't worse than the wussy millennials, my thoughts are probably not. Nothing is worse than millennials ,libtards. Blahh tight pants, beards and sleeves of tattoos. When Barra is out people will jump for joy in the streets

You know what I loved working at the company and I appreciated the flexibility with work life balance and up until last summer it was good. It's a real shame the company has changed for the worse like this and so fast , I understand things change but I honestly don't think anyone was expecting it to be this bad. I always thought it was important to bring our kids to work and show them the importance of technology and a good clean safe work environment in a professional setting, I looked forward to it every year and so did my child , very unfortunate I wasn't able to take her this year due to my job loss , upper management turned a good day and and company into an appalling horror show , all the people that volunteer from all walks of life we're always very gracious, patient and kind to the kids and I felt that was of big importance , now it's just a heartbreaking environment full of bitterness and fear of the next mass firings spree to sooth the greed machine so GM can once again stay solvent and get back on track , AGAIN ! How many more attempts do they need to get it right people? Every ten years mass hiring then mass firings and confussion to college grads that want a secure future or to people that are already invested , very bizarre way to run a business.

No, they didn't let 33% of them go.

First, they offered some candy to the ones who had been before to get them to volunteer to leave.

Then they sorted the registration database by age, years attending, parent's building #, and so on, and told 15% of them that they had to go. They still got some candy in a blue bag though.

Didn't they cancel that for this year ? Who would bring any of their kids there at this point , last summer was good and the years prior but thanks to all of this unnecessary layoff I feel it would kinda k--l the spirit of it all.

Did they give the kids a blue bag before they walked them out?

Were they taught about transgenderism at a GM Plus breakout meeting or are the public school systems doing enough pushing of the destructive trans agenda?

In a way, this is a good thing for those kids.
