Thread regarding CVS layoffs

DL visits

Leadership , my DL has not been in my store since October. Great Leadership. We get 2 emails a week but it's strange Ive had 4-5 pulse checks , I was here those days but he was not humm . I guess it's a compliment.

In my experience those long absences and/or radio silence usually mean one of two things.

  1. You or your partner(s) or all of the above are about to be termed or relocated (the absence shouldn't be nearly that long though).

  2. Your DL is about to be termed or relocated and they know it. But again, not if its been months and months.

Unless there is some sort of extenuating circumstance here I would say that its not a complement. Its horrible leadership.

For the record I enjoy having my DL come by because we can bounce ideas off each other and he can bring things to my attention that may have escaped my notice.

Having an outside perspective from an expert in the field is a good thing because we can become so immersed in our store that no matter how well we may be doing, we may be missing opportunities to become even better.

I am sure If you want to have your DL come by simply call and ask them to.

If , instead you have an agenda like getting them fired , or something , that is a dangerous game to play.

I’m not sure about this post. Doesn’t sound like they are pressuring you? What is your beef exactly?

If the DL has no issue with you why do you care? I personally work better without some one up my you know what. They just get in the way and piss me off when they try to get me to drink the company’s “flavor of the week” Koolaid anyway. Look at it as a blessing and a compliment.

My DL has visited twice a month plus we have someone in the Emerging Leaders program joining him one visit and doing another visit solo. They spend 4-6 hours in the store so we end up losing a lot of time.

Mine hasn't been at my store since February. Has a pulse check in the system for this month and I know he hasn't gone to my store.
