Changing labels
That is what people minimize my job to. I just change labels. Not many know the stress that has become a normal part of this job.
We are working with NO help. NO coverage. We constantly have to spot and fix the mistakes made at the corporate level. And little by little they pile more and more on us. This week was the worst. We were told we were to have about a month worth of changes in one week. Along with tons of signage and promotions.
A lot of us have had our position taken away. We are no longer the pricing coordinator. We still do pricing ALONE....but now we get to do it overnight, and also help unload the truck and stock. We are doing the work of several people.
But here comes the slap in the face. Now I’m being told there is talk of the MSAs taking over pricing, and it is highly likely to happen. So, the job that corporate just told me could not be done during the day will be given to other associates....during the day....while the pricing coordinators are just left to be stockers.
I don’t mind hard work. I’m bothered by the fact that Lowe’s weaseled it’s way out of giving us severance by moving us overnight and then ultimately taking our job away. That way our position wasn’t technically eliminated.
Get out while you can! This company has no heart.
