Thread regarding Sam's Club layoffs

Club 6343 out of control!

Associates being reprimanded for not speaking to members even though some managers don't even speak to members! All the good manager have gone or even leaving going to another club. They have hardly no one working on the floors. For some odd reason everybody's getting written up now that's becoming the new Norm. The people that work the hardest get treated like c-ap in the ones that take a hundred brakes get treated like gold and always get their vacations approved! There's never carts in the bay when members needed then the members get mad and leave and they wonder why are we losing memberships. Everything that the member likes we get rid of and everything they don't like we keep! Lol you see more and more new Associates it seems as if they're trying to get rid of the old Associates that's making the money! It seems like there's some kind of connection because we're getting more and more Associates that used to work at Laburnum which that store close down. Members complain about how dirty the bathrooms are. All the associates are not treated good unless you on that favors list with the store manager. Dam yoo so much more coming

Ours like to threaten everyone that they will get coached and lose their jobs if we do not get credits. Um ok. They have been called in on and nothing gets done but that's how it works among the outside of work ties that they have with our regional. I really can't see our store staying around much longer sales and membership are at their lowest. We are losing good associates, longterm members and that's due to the fact items that they used to get are gone, items being out, finding help on the floor, hell trying to find a cart or flatbed coming in the store is a laugh. I miss the old Sam's but I'm afraid it will never be again.

Market 15 where 6343 is out of control. There are a couple good ones and bad ones. Many are just holding on my their knuckles not leading the business. I wish I could say but I work in another club where everyone is saying the same thing. Favoritisms is the new norm. Tell another manager or MM is is a joke because it all come back to you. Unfortunately I just keep my head down and run my register. Floor associates working until after11 some days to get the club cleaned up. It’s impossible to do when you have 3 associates to everything. Then managers leave as soon as the night manager comes it. This truly is not fair to them when their schedule associates are slim. Can’t hire cause Home Office says you can run with limited associates. Make them work for a month in a busy club and find out what is like. I might have 5 trucks average but 1 driver

Club managers make their schedules according to their kids sports schedules. I would love to have every Saturday off. Managers sponsor their kids teams. Free money

I dont know where your clubs are. I'm in Southern California and don't know how my CM would defend the conditions of our club today. I'm embarrassed to be here and trying to help recover but it's all over and so much. No one here to help. I cannot imagine if we had a surprise visit this morning. Just because we're going through a remodel doesn't mean having the inside completely tore up is ok. Some of us try and take pride in our work but this is just too much.

I may as well go shovel manure at the dairy farm up the street if I gotta walk into c-ap like this everyday.

Not all Sam’s Clubs are up to the same standards — you’d be surprised at what a trip to another club across state lines would be like — night and day. There are toxic CM’s — ones that don’t know where to draw the line — in an ethical world, their values/ beliefs don’t necessarily fall in the Sams Club realm when the CM arrives at work. Some leaders are bad and some are good — unfortunately for you, your CM is most likely not leading y’all, he is just surviving and bonusing most likely, and his managers follow the leader— right. You went pretty deep in your post, that’s indicative of bias, and remember we don’t have the CM here to defend himself or your work history to look at for as a job behavior reference so my opinion is just an opinion. That’s all I have to say.
