DSD is ending...period! Some have concocted a c---amamie theory that really deserves a great laugh, so let’s give it the attention it deserves!!!
Under this “new” CAO the most important feature to remember is...,,jobs are safe, employees keep cars, phones, and iPads....regardless of any expense to shareholders! This “new” dsd was indeed created to solely benefit employees and ensure they have transportation and access to communication. Why, because Mondelez really cares about their employees! “They value us”!
What will happen is this..,,retailers, who are struggling with profitability due to the influx of online ordering amongst other external factors, will invest in CAO and EDI, so that Mondelez can get better orders.
The other component is Mondelez will continue to merchandise for free, as it has been suggested. Why, because we are just nice people.
I’m going to write Dirk myself and thank him for creating this outlandish, and wasteful “new” dsd, so I can keep all my toys.
It’s no longer about making money for our shareholders anymore! No, it’s about making sure our employees are happy and well taken care of!
Maybe Dirk can buy back that empty factory in Chicago and fill it up with video games and pool tables for all the bakery workers who lost their jobs when factories were built in Selinas? Something maybe Ileen overlooked, after all its all about employees happiness, not making money, as it is for most other companies.
We are certainly revolutionizing the industry!
