Thread regarding Bank of New York Mellon Corp. layoffs

Good luck and stay strong

Tomorrow is the start of another week for many in this painful dungeon. It's a new week of yield curves, persistent volatility and toxic management. May the force be with you and I wish each will find some meaning within this insecure environment .xx

No one is condemned to work for BNYM. You can always leave. It is you who is failing.

1jyc, Of course there are people that would happily take the job without complaining. That is because they have no clue how bad it is to work I need that environment.

But he or she would understand (and complain) soon enough.

The sky is not falling. Enjoy life a bit. If you are that miserable in your job, find something you are passionate about. Life is too short to complain about every little thing you deem to be negative in your job. Believe me, if you don't like your role at BNY Mellon, there are dozens of people who will gladly take your position and not complain.

Go ahead and be pedantic... live a little!

Not to be pedantic, but we haven’t seen anything remotely resembling an inverted yield curve under Charlie’s tenure; only a mild flattening falling well within normal ranges . Factually the economy has been hot and Q1 GDP growth smashed any recession fears or worries of a challenging yield curve going forward.. What actually appears to be happening from the numbers is a loss of fee based revenue which would seem to point more towards organic client loss.

It's not just any yield curve, it's the inverted yield curve. Remember that. Let's get our excuse-making straight :)
