Thread regarding CVS layoffs

Sounds like a plan CVS would come up with

Director of Operations Craig T. Leaked some info at a Woonsocket meeting. (I'm a corp nobody but had to run the powerpoint)

FS will be cut back to cosmetics/beauty, healthcare, Hallmark, very limited grocery/candy/snacks. FS Manager will be eliminated. Fs staff very limited with RX manager running the show running rx, fs, and heathlcare hub practices (optical/hearing/diabetics ect) as well as running the bench. They will have full responsibility of hiring, store scheduling, service, and fs planograms, product withdrawls, dsd, ect. This will be scaled back from what the FS manager currently does.

high volume stores fs that are currently doing over 75k/week will have a "Health Leader" aka former SM. That position requires a bachelors degree no exceptions. FS managers were asked last month to update their mysuccess last month to help identify who will be qualified to run the high volume fs.

Shift supervisors will become "Health Supervisors" and be limited to 2 per store. RX Manager required to open and close the store (cash room operations ect) along with the 2 Health Supervisors.

Mass/RI/Conn to start 2nd quarter of 2019 with store remodels being complete in quarter 1. This will start with 60-70% of this markets stores. Sorry no word on severance or final days for store managers

The pharmacy manager will not be doing fs tasks. Period. So if that’s in the works whoever is drawing it up needs to get back to reality. I can see CVS changing front store titles to “health leaders” lol.

Well, my pharmacist opens and closes the store, 22 front store hours.. the fs person is not to help ring out customers at all. Shelves and other fs BS ONLY! One tech, one pharmacist. Only my two pharmacist have keys. I don’t think it’s too far fetched. We do right at 200 scripts per day. I am lead tech and literally only ring up customers all day. No returns, no iars, don’t get to pull expired d--gs, hell, I rarely get to count any more. I mainly print and pull d--gs for my pharmacist to count. She Has to do the rest. We are in hell. Oh did I mention, I’m the only full time tech. Lead tech, inventory specialist and highly paid cashier. Neither of the 2 part-time, poorly trained techs even understand the importance of filing hard copies. I just applied to H-E-B. I hate to leave my beloved pharmacist but I just can not take this company any more. Cvs can burn for all I care.

If you are a store manager and have a bachelor's degree, you must have been involved in a buyout. No intelligent person with a degree would hang around too long after they figured that they were just another head cahier/stocker.

I appreciate the person who ran the PowerPoint presentation, however, would you please learn to spell, and make coherent sentences. I tend to believe nothing I read, and all that I see, and with that said, I tend to believe some of this person's rhetoric.

No layoffs 3/22... Judge did not sign off on Aetna acquisition. Assumptions made and thought all would be finalized in Nov. 2018 with layoffs to follow, March 2018.

May take years to complete, or maybe not at all. CVS should not be in charge of peoples health and well being.

I call Bull s**t. Pharmacy managers don’t have enough time to do their own stuff let alone do the work of the store manager especially in high volume pharmacies. Get real!!!!
