Omnicare was a profitable, well thought of company before Merlo and his band of thieving thugs took over management and cut all programs that did not make his metrics...such as personal relationships built up with clients...cost too much money and the benefits of these relationships can not be tracked on an excel sheet. He would rather "force" these institutions to use his service.

It was a $6 billion write off for the first quarter, on Omnicare along, much less the $68 billion debt for Aetna.
