Can anyone tell me if there is a severance package offered to the night crew associates? I have seen yes and no on this site. Can someone who has actually had the night crew cut in thier club tell me?

Sam's club s—s they are stealing our money from our sick time we earned and can't get it unless we use all pto and only on family members and not our self they should pay all of us it no matter what maybe we can get a union going
Just got out of office with my store manager and night manager. They said if we don’t secure a position by the time we go to days we may be offered a severance. Hope this helps.
Nervermind. Just got the answer in our club meeting today. They told us about block scheduling. This sh-- is for the birds.
My question is this for the overnight crew. Do you get to select days or nights or because full timers are required to have open availability, could you be scheduled for either or.

There IS a new code job though. Something called receiving/stocker. It's only accessable when doing an application. Those who are curently labled overnight whether it be receiving or merchandiser will retain THAT job code. New folks who are hired between now and when your club loses the night shift will have the new job code. Some clubs offered packages and others did not. When your club manager has that "one on one" talk, ask. Don't be closed mouth about it. This company can be sneaky so it's best to always ask questions. If management doesn't know the answer, then go higher if need be.
There was no severance offered. Stop listening to these oxygen thieves that don't know sh--.
We were told in the ybm. No severance but why did some clubs receive it. I agree with one of the posts our shift was eliminated. Also I think its illegal to tell some clubs here is a severance and others oh your shift was not eliminated just moved. It's all bs. They do what they want and I have a feeling there will be a law suit in the future.
Overnight associates who qualify for a severance package are full timers who have been with sams at least year or part timers who have been with the company 5+ years.
Yes hourlies have the option for severance. I think 1 or 2 took it when they moved them to days. For all those that keep saying there positions wasn’t cut you can call it what you want but it was. When they were hired the6 were hired fir overnight merchandiser or overnight forklift operator or overnight receiving. Do you see what the first part of everyone of those positions are OVERNIGHT 4 am and 3 pm is not overnight so all you a-- kissing people whos positions hasnt been affected go F--- OFF
