I was laid off and got a job in 3 days paying double Cisco’s salary AND I have Cisco severance of 3mo!!! I’m going to Disney World!!!!! Quit now the market is booming.

My wife was LR a year ago. She had 30 days to find a new position inside of Cisco. Her last day at Cisco happened to be her first day at another company. Went from $124k to $200k base, plus a much better bonus, healthy stack of RSUs and a fat signing bonus/retainer...title and responsibility was much better aligned to her pre-Cisco career. So I can easily say she doubled, if not tripled her income. I say tripled because the stock on the other company is doing better. I have ESPP from 18 years ago that is only now breaking even to the buy price.

I got laid off back in December and now my total comp package is 75% more than what it was making at Cisco. No joke.
I read the headline and my eyes scanned past the word "off".. Was about to say congratulations.. Well I guess congratulations anyway :-)
