We are big company why don’t we all chip in $10, 100 or whatever to fund the increase in offer for Anadarko bid ? I mean call me crazy but boys all in. Show em how we do things in Texas.

OXY’s bid is ~$7bln more than Chevron’s. Chevron has roughly 50,000 employees. You got an extra $140,000 burning a hole in your pocket?
You boys think I am some fool to ask for money for me own benifit? From where I come we support our breadwinner and call it worth our while. If company needs help I will be first in line at any gas station.

Oxy is already straining its balance sheet, and Buffet’s offer will make that situation even worse - not to mention the billion dollars Anadarko will need to pay Chevron.
Chevron is the better “asset fit” and is in an excellent financial position.
