Macy’s Loyalty (Credit Card), I’m fed up with corporate greed

I’ve been at Macys as a sales associate for 3 years. Lately our managers have been walking around with a big bag of goodies, inside Warm diet coke sodas, chocolate candy bars, rice cakes, chips. We get to pick 1 item when we get a loyalty. So if Im correct for every credit card we get a candy bar and a less than a dollar payout. Macys is creating the illusion that you are getting the full dollar by having your coworker give you a solid dollar from the register after scanning the payout slip. But its taxable income. Didn't fool me macys..

And that “Path to growth”? How is it responsible for the CEO to take a 18% pay increase, how about taking some effort to insure your employee’s are getting a fair livable wage. $15/hour across the board. It can be easily done. But they avoid this by the path to growth incentive for each quarter BUT.. only if your store/department makes its goals.

I suggest you write a note to President Trump and tell him our CEO took an 18% pay increase. See what he says.

sh-- it sounds like my store with the snacks and warm soda.

Don't let these other posters here make you feel like an id--t for working there and not finding something else. It isn't that easy. It just isn't that easy. No one "chooses" this. "Hee hee hee, I had the chance to earn $100k a year but I'd rather do this!" Come on. I don't know a soul who works there as a choice. The only choice in the matter is to pay your rent or not.

Yeah, they can say, "They don't have to give you ANYTHING for DOING YOUR JOB!!!!!!!!!!!!" So the CEO does jack sh-- besides treat people like trash, come up with mo--nic ideas, runs the company further into the ground, and yet somehow deserves 18% more? And then we say in the next breath that the associates at the bottom, treated like Kleenex and terrorized for things completely beyond their control, cannot be shown an iota of kindness to make their lives more bearable?

Don't worry, my dear OP. Work hard, keep your head down, keep your faith, and try your best in the meantime to get the hell out. I am doing the same.

Be careful what you wish for...... If they pay you $15 an hour, they will more than likely pay less towards your health insurance. They gotta budget for the next CEO pay increase. Remember, you are worthless to them. You are considered unskilled labor. Not sayin you are..........this is how they classify store retail clerks, unskilled.

Dont take the snack and dont use the Macys money and dont use your discount at all. Yes, you have to make your numbers to get the bonus.

You chose this 3 years ago. Look into other fields that may have a higher base wages.
