There is historical proof that union members are the missing link. Just go back to 2016 for evidence. Marching around, stomping their feet on the ground like neanderthals.

Intelligent people do not need to resort to name calling. No wonder Vz wanted to clean house. 🤪🤪

@1wob - The only Native people, based on scientific evidence so far, are Native Ethiopians. Get off your high horse and go brush up on your anthropology. Or go back to your cave and shut up.

Turd. Must be a non-Union employee.

@xmd - Your "Native Americans" crossed Beringia from Siberia to North America. No race of human is "native" to this continent. Get off your high horse and go brush up on your history. Or go back to your teepee tent and shut up.

Tard. Must be a union employee.

I created Oath and Verizon Connect. They are the best divisions of VZ !

Many of those greedy executives that orchestrated the outsourcing and offshoring are also Indian.

Native Americans were in America first. Not the same as Asian Indians. They were referred to as Indians by Columbus because he thought he had reached the Indian Ocean. An historical error that stuck. Better go back and brush up on your history.

I don't understand all the Indian resentment. A few greedy Verizon executives wanted to earn $15 million as opposed to $8 million. Outsourcing jobs to India cut costs enabling those salaries.

Greedy corporate executives without ethics or empathy are destroying the American middle class... don't blame India

Good call. Back to herding goats and not using deodorant then.

Does that fit your multiculturally sensitive, diplomatic, inclusive, nondiscriminatory, PC police agenda better?

Go move there so you can take an american job too bleeding hart.

" Feel sorry for you in some ways, but KARMA is a B _ _ . " Well, apart from the fact it isn't (bad things happen to good people and good things to bad,,,,,) it's not as if those Bangalore workers one day said "I know, lets steal US jobs" US-based, very well paid, execs made those decisions and Indian workers applied for the new jobs in their city, just as people do all over the world. So not exactly their fault.

As for the mud huts comment: slightly more of an racist African cliché but good try!

All that i can say to this posting is that. The jobs should have been sourced in the USA and you now are feeling the results of what other American Verizon employees are feeling. Feel sorry for you in some ways, but KARMA is a B _ _ . Good luck in your future is all i can say.

I'm surprised that they gave the 2 months notice.

Vz connect and telematics have been poor investments that showed limited growth and did not take off the way the company wanted. On the consumer side, the hum and its derivatives were "slammed" by the retail channel to unsuspecting customers usually as a bill rerate in which reps found savings by switching to a new plan, but instead of passing the savings to the customer, they changed the plan and included the hum in there. This is similar to what was done with mobile hotspots back in the 2012, 2013 time period.

On the business side, though we purchased and acquired a large part of the market via acquisitions of different companies, even with that law that required Electronic monitoring (ELD I believe) most companies had already implemented the tech for the mandate and were unlikely to switch from what they had. Even with the corporate lobbying to get this law on the books it backfired on vz as they did not see the growth they had wanted in VZ connect.

This is just another example how the corporate greed to grow revenues in new directions without foresight as to where our true competitive advantages are made us invest BILLIONS of dollars to break even and now when the proposed investment blew up in VZ's face it gets taken out of the employees that joined the circus.
