A week, month, longer?

Your last check is immediate. Vacation is the same day but different check. Severance is about 10 days after signing the release (contract that you will never work for UP ever again)

So Lance wants to go into politics, where he has to be the most popular guy to get elected and re-elected, but his corporate popularity is 16%. Of course, the institutional shareholders love him....and the institutional shareholders are the 1% and they own the politicians, so maybe he’s onto something. Cronyism....

They paid non agreement severance, final pay, and vacation pay pretty fast - well within 30 days...

Your vacation pay doesn't come within a week of leaving. That can take up to 60 days.

As for severance, I can't help you. I saw the writing on the wall before the smelly stuff hit the fan and got out while the getting was good.

I'm glad to see all of my former colleagues have such a high level of job satisfaction, especially managers. I'll bet that job is even more fun now. Enjoy the stress-induced cardiovascular diseases and psychosis that comes with babysitting adult men for 70 hours a week (no overtime) for the paltry $80k-$90k UP pays you (not considering what they pinch from it and put into RRR).

Fun fact: Lance's approval rating on Glassdoor is 16% which probably makes him the most unpopular executive in the private sector.

Severance is not Precision Scheduled.

Nonagreement has to sign a contract first. You have 45 days after you are let go to sign it. Severance is paid within a few days of UP receiving the signed contract. I think your vacation pay comes within a week or so of being let go.

It took some Boilermakers in Ft. Worth about a month and a half to get their first check and one said he didn't get all of his money, they'd already had jobs lined up by that time waiting on start dates! Thank God for the economy in Texas !

Depending on the pay period. You’ll get it on the normal cycle.
