I’ve only been with chevron for 10 years but in my opinion the company has changed significantly for the better in that time. MW is a humble, measured and inspiring leader and I have a lot of hope for the ongoing future of this company. “Deadwood” Trolls will come and go but our future is bright in my opinion.

CVX needs to improve its MCP performance and cut costs further. Far too many tails wagging the dog. I hoped MW would wield a more brutal ruler over the company by now, but he looks far more worried about getting “likes” on Workplace than turning the company into a leaner and meaner version. The oxy bid looks good on paper but CVX needs to get its backyard in order before going after others.
It is too early to say on MW. The attempt to buy Anadarko was a good strategic move necessary to make up for CVX's poor exploration record. CVXs position in the Permian results from prior acreage HBP on conventional fields, not by deliberate exploration.
This post is obviously sarcasm, or the thoughts of a truly deranged Chevroid.

I see things very opposite than yours, OP. I’ve been with the company for 29 years and things have gotten worse in the last years. I’ll reserve my opinion on MW. He hasn’t been our CEO long enough yet. Ask me again in two years.
