So what happens if you tell your GM that the days off he is telling you that you get doesn't work for you?? Like me I was told Wednesday and Thursday but i need sundays.. what happens if I tell him I can't do those days?? And I havnt signed off on any sheet or forms yet

No need for the rude comments!! Just asking a simple question. Yes I was told I could request off also but have to only use PTO time ? I dont care to use unpaid time off sometimes really. Shouldn't have to use my PTO time for that.
Who cares about your religious beliefs. Should have stayed in your country if your Allah is so great.
The policy now states that you can “request” a day off for your religious observance, but you have to request it every single week if that is when you need it. Good luck getting it approved every week.
I did not just "find religion " I've been a Christian for many years and I am obligated to have a day off to worship! I know my religious rights, this company has gone bonkers. They dont care about you or your family...your just a number on paper to them
Our Manager said you take what is offered to you or you don’t have a job. You can’t ask to go to part time or switch departments. You can leave and then come back later and apply for a different shift or position if one becomes available but then you are starting all over with the company and losing whatever seniority you had or if you take a shift and someone leaves or quits that had a shift you want you can apply for there job or shift if you are next in line by Seniority.
Get rid of this towel head. No room for minorities here asking for special treatment when they are taking our jobs in the first place. Maga!

It’s amazing how many people “find religion” when it benefits their narrative or excuse to reject things they do not like. So let’s add that to the list of why so many people can only work when THEY WANT TO, instead of when their employer asks them to work. It’s the same people who also say that the job they were hired for 3,10, even 20 years ago should not ever change. “I was hired to work overnights” or “I was hired to do audits” so any change ti the business model is met with outrage and self victimization. Remember reading about how the blacksmith of any town was in high demand to bend the metal to build wagons and put the horseshoes on the horses everyone used to own? Guess what, that evil guy Henry Ford revolutionized the way we travel and live our lives, and he also k--led the generations of blacksmiths. Try looking in the mirror people and not seeing a victim looking back at you, and instead acknowledge that while it’s ok to be upset, disappointed, or even angry for what has transpired, it’s now time to figure out how you can make the best of the new situation. I know one sure fire way to fail, and that’s by continuing to be miserable, because you more than likely are making everyone around you miserable, while accomplishing nothing or changing nothing about decisions you have no control over.
not all churches offer multiple services at different times. So we are supposed to switch our faiths based on a stupid decision made by HO? Whoever is posting this stuff that we find a different time to worship allah can get bent.
I’ll just take my rug to my register and pray between members.

The bakery lead is NOT the only position that was given set days. All fresh leads, bakers, club pickup......at least in our club. Yes we work retail but after 25 years you have worked your way to a lead position only to get one of the worse schedules and not have any say as to your days off. Sure you can burn up all your PTO getting a weekend off. Your better off being a part timer. Just another way to weed out the long term associates.
Nope not a lead. Regular associate. And they ate supposed to give you a day off to be able to go to church
I do believe the only positions who have been given mandatory set days off are Fresh Leads? And judging by the Wednesday, Thursday you were given I am willing to guess you are a Bakery Lead? My question for everyone complaining is, WHO WORKS RETAIL AND EXPECTS TO GET WEEKENDS OFF?
I will say I don't agree with the Wednesday, Thursday pick for Bakery Leads. Essentially we should have bigger production days on Wednesday and Thursday. Graduation season is here, we should have cake orders done a day ahead, most orders scheduled to be picked up Friday and Saturday. I would like to be available to help support my team and jump in if I see them struggling.
At one time the company was required to accommodate religious observance. And it is likely if you were of a specific religious persuasion there certainly would be accommodation...

The job description has changed to include a schedule, just like lifting up to 50 lbs. Either you sign that you are able to do it, or you don't.
I wonder if we're going to keep the same member hours on Sunday but still have to work our block shift or if we're going to the same hours as the rest of the week
