My photo department is closing. Why am I not offered severance?

Because Photo is now part of Merchandising and that department is not going away. It's how they get through the loop hole!!! Our photo dept is closing in February. All floor associates have to learn photo and photo has to learn their duties.
Your job code could have changed to electronics or hardlines and you don't get severance?
They have another position for you 1-9:30 take it or leave it.
