I am still here at Ford, although not sure I will be in the next few weeks. Morale is down, everyone is talking, mostly rumors. Too bad high-level management couldn't just get this done in one shot and get it over with. The waiting and wondering is horrible! If I'm still here end of May, I will post again. Wish me luck.

@YSZLhK0-1mvq Well you'd be coming in right after all the massive layoffs. I would assume this would mean you would be safe until the next purge in 5-7 years. So you'd have a good 5 years to collect money.

Ford offered me a job in its product development team. Im 35 and mba from top bschool. Should i consider joining?
We were also told May 21st. Everybody will get a personal meeting with LL4 and HR, and find out same job, new job, or no job. All effective on June 1st. If no job, then you can either work out the rest of May, or leave immediately. Not sure if there are any financial consequences of which you choose.
I've heard some rumors myself . . . maybe I can get an LL4 canned before the 21st, just to make myself feel a little better. Thanks for making my day!!
Too bad the Fords are still their. New generation employed at company, with overpaid salaries. Other Old Farts just collecting the dividends.
I am definitely not putting in one minute over 40 hours a week. That being said it is 25 more hours a week than most of my teammates put in. To each their own. I sleep well. Good luck to everyone.
Keep hearing May 21 or 22 from various sources, so lucky us...only a few more weeks to go. The names and spots have already been decided, that work was due into HR by end of April. It literally takes HR a couple weeks to get the stupid systems updated. So...we wait. In the meantime, the LL4s all had to sign a waiver that they couldnt tell anyone the plans until announcement day, or else face firing themselves.

The waiting is harder than I thought. Hard to get motivated to drive to work everyday. Wondering if I should even bother planning the projects I am planning to do in August? Will I still be here then? I’m not sure what is taking so long, but I wish they could just get this over so we can move on either way.
