PTO

Am I reading it right ? I was FT for 25 years and just went to PT by choice. I have to work 28 hours for 1 hour of PTO ? That comes out to about a week and a half PTO a year 😳 I was used to getting 4 weeks a year !

Yes, unfortunately that's always been the case. Even back before PTO started part-timers only got 1 week vacay. But if you ever go back up to full time you'll get your PTO back at your tenured rate. FYI part-timers also never qualify for insurance, or only if you average over 30 hrs weekly. But they may have changed that too.

Way to punk yourself... good luck reaching that 28 hour mark consistently each week. Once the company has a look at payroll companywide when all clubs are on daylight stocking and block scheduling, history says they will be cutting PT hours to cut expenses. Always remember that the biggest and easiest way to control/reduce expenses is via payroll.
