Anyone find it odd that corporate is basically saying they don’t need prepared foods or produce leads anymore? 1-930. Never do another order. Never do another inventory. Never do FST anymore. Never do anything that makes you the lead. I think this is a big hint as to what’s to come next. Anyone know anything? Is it the same in every club? Prepared foods and produce lead closing 1-930?

Teamleads have basically become the workers the last few years. Floor leads who do they actually lead other that one or 2 parttimers that come in late in the afternoon to pull boxes. Now you are going to have 2 floor leads in the am shift and 2 leads on the pm shift if and when you go to day stocking and all they will be is glorified forklift operators trying to get the floor stocked before 7 am and trying to get the floor finished before 11:30 pm
That theory is nice, but bakery lead doesn’t have a clue about prepared foods or fresh. No more than prepared foods knows about meat. 1pm puts you in too late to do any real team leader work, we will only be used to keep all departments on track while they’re finishing up and cleaning up for the night. Is that REALLY a necessary waste of team leader pay in corporate’s eyes?

You will not be Produce Lead and Prepared Food lead you will all be Fresh Leads two in the morning and two in the afternoon. They chose the Meat and Bakery Leads to have mornings because they know more about Meat and Bakery in fresh than the Produce and Prepared Food Leads do. But they will lead all of fresh in the AM and you will lead all of fresh in the PM. This is my take on it anyway!
We obviously going to the ones that get let go when they do away with team leads I bet. I wish they'd just give me my severance pay
