To the person who worked in SD and shared your memory, i feel the same way in Orlando going on over 8 years. Out of all of the VPs/presidents we have had, i don't think any from the day i started are still employed with the company. I cant even remember all their names! I think merch has had it the worst out of all of them as well. Alas we have a culture problem now and it starts at the top down.
I don't want to hear about the seas b's. I don't want to hear about the company mission. None of that matters when every single person at the top spits on it with the way they are acting. We cant even hire a CEO that has a clean rep...
At this point it probably would be best for the animals if they all got shipped out like it seems they are trying to do and hope that someone else takes over in the rescue game.
I started working at SeaWorld SD like 5 years ago and all of the Sr Leaders are gone! John R, Steve M, Vinit, Rick S (went to Corporate), Mary, Marnie (went to Orlando), Tim, Carlos, Scarp, Al. The turn over at that level is bad. No one really knows who the company used to be. All the institutional memory is gone . It's a new company - new mission, values, and operation. Going rides folks, animal days are slipping away. Like it or leave it.

Layoffs will not stop, 3 so far this year. No light at the end of the tunnel until someone takes the company private again... Until then shareholders need to make a profit.
Something has happened with a few people in cali but it was very small and no idea if its going to be more widespread or if this was just a "we dont need you anymore so get out"
