Thread regarding Oracle Corp. layoffs

Q4 s---s

It’s official Q4 results plain s---, oracle is nowhere in the cloud business and sales old-fashioned oracle are gone. Layoffs coming for sure but never made a company better off - oracle had had ongoing layoffs since 6/1/2016 and revenues remain flat. Run for the hills!

I never trusted MH. When he showed up, all I could see were the ghosts of NCR, UNISYS, and HP. Just hearing his voice on investor calls makes my skin crawl. KB getting fired for telling the truth was the straw that broke the sales organization. He seems to be doing ok at salesforce. Ditto for CP at Infor. Both were better options than hiring your tennis partner who destroys from within. So sad!

We all trusted MH. But we were wrong.

This site is mainly visited by doomers and gloomers but every quarter, MH proves them wrong. It's a funny thing. Expect the naysayers to mysteriously vanish on 4Q earnings day.

I trust in MH.

Those of us who are still at Oracle also laugh at our cloud - all of it. The lack of real data centers, trained technology engineers, no strategy except "sell this stuff as fast as you can", we have no ability to answer customer questions on basic architecture and when we can provision them. Shocking that after so many years of the marketing hype that we can't even commit to a time they will have access to the products or data centers that aren't rented.

At amazon and msft, everyone laughs at oracle cloud. And anyone who went there, went for the stock options (which wasn't the best move).
