Club Pick Up

It’s really true that Club Pick up Automatically goes to Carts and Floor associates randomly pull orders?? So the Club pick up associates have no option to keep their job of picking orders?

Any one else think this is absolutely crazy?!

Only one of our pt associates was given an option. The rest of us were told we were going to the lot. All I’ve done for the last few weeks is watch orders being continually messed up. We also knew our members and what they liked and already have business members giving up and pulling their own stuff. And now that we’re (old cpu) out and about we’re getting pulled every which way and still not able to take care of the check in quickly. To top it off not having a handheld to even know they’re here. I’m so sick of being questioned about my bad attitude when all I’m trying to do is the job you’ve decided I’m worthy of and decided that all my years were worth nothing. This was done so backwards and I feel that it was done for one reason...to get the long term associates out. Because the other reason just don’t hold any weight

Well in our club the club pick up people are coming to the floor because they don’t want to push carts so the picking part will still be done by them. It will be on the despensing side that we have have to help out to get up to speed.

So if I’m a member order specialist right now. After these changes I won’t pull orders anymore. Is that what I’m reading?

Our club pick up associates are some of the hardest working people in the building and our management team is well aware of this. It’s sad really. I feel the worst for them and for the Team Leaders who have to work every single weekend for all of eternity.

I don't know how busy your club c n p program is but ours is huge. It was explained to me that this is to help when curbside pickup happens at our store. One will be busy dispensing the order while the other person is the "cart" person. Getting the order together, getting stuff from the freezers etc.. and loading the members car.

I like when someone in a no skill position thinks that their job is rocket science. You get the list, you pull the list. A monkey with a hangover could do the job so please just stop.

Floor associates are not part of the front end group they are part of the merchandisers group.

Club pickup orders and dispensing is to be handled by them (be it club pickup/carts/self check/etc.).

Not sure why people are being told otherwise haha.

The thing is there’s no possible way you can dispense in order when a member checks in in the proper amount of time if you’re out in carts. All the company wants is that when there are multiple people all the members are taken care of as far as the lot goes. As far as my club goes we have all women who work in Club pick up currently do you really think they are going to be pushing carts? I’m not saying a woman can’t do it but for the sake of the company there’s no way they are going to be left to bring all the carts into the bay. as far as my club goes we have all women who work in club pick up currently do you really think they are going to be pushing carts? This has to be one of the worst ideas. I load many of these big orders out the back door and the regular memebers have certain expectations about size, weight, and shrink wrap. I guess I will get to be the one having to fix everything while the member glares and me and their watch.

It is the dumbest part of this whole thing. Guess they don’t care about the fast and accurate anymore

I honestly think they doing this to eliminate long term associates. Most long term associates are the mos and the one who does the sign changes and goes to Costco to see the price difference has been placed in member ship but I really can't see the older mos pulling carts on a hot day when the suns out the brightest I wonder what they will change next year it seems like this is only the beginning

I'm in club pick up and had my meeting. Picking orders goes to the floor team. 4am to 12:30 or 3pm to 11:30 are the shifts. The job is only stocking and picking orders.

Dispensing orders goes to the new member assist group. Hours are 6am to 2:30 or 1pm to 9:30. Job includes dispensing, carryouts and carts. They told me I can choose my preference of either job since I'm in club pickup and the job is being divided into separate workgroups.

It is crazy to expect the floor partners to put as much effort and ownership as the MOS’ do. We have 3 long term associates in that role at our club. It seems crazy to expect them to move to carts. Insulting at best. Members will not be happy.

We haven't had our one on one yet so I dont know the specifics. It makes no sense having us on carts and floor partners pulling orders. We have 50 to 70 orders a day and 10 to 15 same day orders placed. Who will pull these orders? Also what do the floor partners care about nil picks dates or anything else. If we still dispense orders were the ones who will take the fallout.
