It is interesting how some workers think that managers have any power over their own jobs. Just shows how much that worker does not know.

I hope they make you a manager so you will find out. And guess what: you cannot even decline.

Having said that, no mercy for a worker who is upset that his manager now has two jobs. I hope that you work for me so I can torture you. You deserve it!

In which department are they cutting middle management?? You managers spread so much BS, you may actually be starting to believe it.

You eliminated/laid off good working staff that is not classified as management. You then did a reorganization and reclassification to label yourselves as non-management , effectively taking the position of one of the people laid off while keeping your high salary and "maintaining your manager responsibilities" without being a manager. Boo Hoo!

You're shady and talk about the employees on here needing to grow up because they want their "manager" to actually "manage"

Sounds like you guys and gals are the ones who need a tissue.

Xcp- I'm pretty sure the workers would be happy regardless of what happens to the middle managers if they didnt cut our raises, bonus, benefits, overtime, work from home and overload us with work to compensate laid off employees.

Worker comments on this blog often hateful about managers. So company lays off managers and expects happy workers? But workers are even more unhappy, with fewer managers.

Maybe they should let unhappy workers go, and just keep the happy people, managers and all.

Happy workers are probably more productive anyway, just saying.

Dunno. The article states that reducing middle management can make workers happier. I don’t see anyone that is happier at BNY. Maybe Charlie.
