It's pretty funny how awful everyone is to one another on this board, but usually around the office everyone's singing 'kum ba ya.' I guess lay-offs really show how fake everyone is.

Like I said many weeks ago. The ones b--ching are the same ones that coasted on cruise control in this company for the past few decades and haven't kept up with new technology and new skills. The rest of us have..old/young.....what have you. We will gladly take the involuntary package, laugh to the bank, and get hired elsewhere within a matter of weeks. We are the hungry ones....the rest of you that were coasting have to face the cruel harsh world out there and will be eaten alive. Look in the mirror....you have no one to blame but YOURSELF.

Reality check: for some if pxd is their first gig, chances are they are younger (in their 20s to early 30s top). Meaning --> most likely will be hired unlike you with your second and third gig pushing your 40s or an unlucky chug turning 55 in July.

Quit posting this nonsense until something is actually material. Many of us are so jaded by inept management that we want nothing more than a buyout, never mind how much risk it may pose to our jobs. It's a preferable alternative than continuing to wither on the vine. Stop getting our hopes up.
Exxon already has building prepared to receive Pioneer and Parsley survivors from Dallas and Austin
