Thread regarding Ford layoffs

I packed my stuff from my cubic

I packed my stuff from my cubic. I seen before people let go and the amount of humiliation they go through while they pack their stuff as 2 cold security guards watch every move you do.

While they usually clear out the area (at least was the case before that happen). Of course with massive layoff it may not be the case.

We all served the company and no one deserve to be escorted out as criminal just because the company decided to reduce the staff numbers and i hope that is not going to happen.

My advice is pack your stuff, assume the worst. Look at the few remaining days as a gig that you will be paid for while update your resume.

Don't let the company in charge of your life. Take an action. You are in charge of your own life.

Sadly this is a realistic picture of what we have to go through on top of getting laid off, given in this post by @YTdqw75-3sva .Thik we should all prepare.

We're seeing the long-term Ford folks enjoying their stock benefits, since the price of Ford Stock has increased in recent months.

Actually, 5 years gets 1 month severance. Same amount as some FCG whose been with the company a year. That’s some BS right there.

Folks with blue badges should check the HR websites. Layoffs are policy. Nothing new. Lots of misinformation on this site, either spammers or blue/green badges that aren't paying attention. 5 yrs seniority gets something like 2-3 months severance if laid off. Relax, everyone...take the cash, chill out for awhile, build your skills using all of the free sites out there, and never look back at Ford.

Nobody sticks around after the firing date. You get paid either way. A few work from home but that’s it.

And then in 6 to 12 months you'll all be hired back. I know it's easy to say but if you are younger, you have a very long time to work, enjoy a bit of time off. I was laid off for six months, I so miss just having a bit of extended time off. All of you will find another job.

Well you might as well stay another week or two and get paid to apply to jobs right? Also, does anyone know if quitting would ruin your chances at any unemployment/severance pay?

There is no security this time since those fires get option to stay through end of May. Granted I have no idea why anyone would continue to show up when you get paid not that for the remainder of a month regardless. Ford culture is one weird bird.
