Thread regarding Sam's Club layoffs

Are we gonna see more part timers?

It all looks like the leadership is steering the situation towards long timers leaving on their own, so I couldn’t help but wonder what comes after they’ve achieved that goal.Someone has to work, so my question would be, are we going to see a bigger intake of part time employees?

At my club it's the part-time that are looking for other jobs. The full-time seem to want to stay because they make a better wage, insurance ect, The part-time who have other jobs, go to school are the ones who want to be with a company with more flexibility , I mean really 18-24 hrs and they say that's based on availability. Blocks of time where you can't get time-off requests approved. Why not leave for a job who's willing to work with you more. Part-timers are not as financially or as emotionally invested.

I’m not sure how many people will work a 25 hour a week job, and those 25 hours are only if you have open availability. Which means no possibility of getting a second job since you’re going to be working 3-5 wanky hours a day. Not enough full time jobs for everyone.
