Block Scheduling

Block scheduling is creating a bad vibe in our club. Some of our associates have young children and the long term associates have older children and are more flexible. Working 1 to 930 or 3 to 1130 will evey day will not allow you to be a parent to your children.

It was ok working a couple days closing, couple days mids and a couple days openings. Yes it would be great having a set schedule but everyday closing!! They should be some kind of rotation. 3 days closing 3 days opening. Not sure what the solution is but something has to give.

I don't think long term associates should have off EVERY weekend. I'm a long term associate. It's retail.

While I agree that no one wants to or should close every day, I wonder if you realize that long term associates were one time newbies too. I put in my YEARS of closing shifts before you were ever around. I WORKED my way to a position that, until recently, was day shift M-F. Maybe if you did the same that option COULD have been passed down when our generation retired but thanks to the entitled that is now ruined for everyone. It seems to me that H.O. was brought to these drastic measures to guarantee people are there to run the business. It s*cks 100% but was never needed until now so think about that.

So the long term associates should have the closing shift? Wow, you wouldn't have that opinion if you were one. I don't think anyone should have to close everyday but it's ridiculous to say that long term associates have older children so they should close.

The company No longer cares about their associates or the ling term supervisors who have to close every night or step down and lose money. Everyone needs to realize this and just move on. They want young kids without families who can work anything. Who they can pay 12$ an hour.

Who really want to work close everyday anyways? Very few! Only someone with a second job or who's in college.
