Checkout Morningstar’s new Analyst report on Oxy today, including the update on the purchase of Anadarko. Much much more positive than the media and personal comments on Oxy’s purchase of Anadarko.
To damage shareholders like this was a huge over-reach. At the very least, the shareholders were entitled to a vote. Now we need to take steps to remove the entire board and executive management.
No shareholder of any company gets treated the way we have been treated.
BoD and Executive Management may have been correct that this deal will be transformative for OXY. It may transform into the sale of OXY which will be supported by the vast majority of shareholders.
Noticed that stock is now at a new 52-week low at near $55. The market is speaking loudly.
Well, that is your opinion. Many smart people disagree with you. The stock is trading at a 10 year low, and the only reason it isn't an all-time low was because of the global financial crisis in 2008. Oxy was substantially underperforming even before the deal. Multiple large investors have publicly announced they would vote against the board. And you think all of these people, who have billions of dollars on the line, are stupid?
Stupidest thing shareholders can do now is get rid of the board. If the existing board made plans to execute this deal then let them finish their work. Just because you don’t agree doesn’t mean you are right. I am exiting shareholder and want to see the board get us through this.

Your CEO just screwed all of you shareholders and employees. Winning for the sake of winning at any cost is not anyway to run a business. But I suppose VH doesn’t care. She’s the only one that will win here, then she’ll retire.
VH has to be commended for not doing layoffs but her business acumen is in the dumps. She gone
