Thread regarding Mondelez International Inc. layoffs

OK

So the DSD haters keep hanging on here talking bad about nabisco. So you guys are waiting for DSD to end, just to say I told you so? Just to say see, I told you it was happening? Nabisco cheerleader on here s---s! Dinosaur! Warehouse is better! Just a matter of time!

Well you people maybe right, someday you may will be, just not today. So please keep guessing on the month, day and year. I love them post. Cause in all reality, no one knows except the people up top.

So if you work for nabisco, enjoy it for now, make use of it. Sell as much as you can.

As for Nestle going warehouse, in my opinion, it will be a easy transaction, not so easy for nabisco. Especially with warehouses the size of 30 football fields. I’m sure Kroger is game to hold all that product. It may happen, but not today.

I’ve been with consumer goods companies in sales for 32 years. I’ve been with Mondelez now for just about 20. Five years ago I was told DSD for retailers would end. Retailers wanted to take back control and the reality is, they really only don’t have control over a couple of aisle in the stores. Over the last 5 years, every bit of what I was told is coming to fruition. Prior to Keebler leaving DSD we saw tags at Kroger change reflecting CAO. Then Hostess went warehouse. Keebler went warehouse. Out tags too reflected the change and we too as CAO. WM also goes CAO and dept 82 is now EDI.

If proof is what people need, they will have to wait! We won’t be told one second before they have to. For those that are interested in sharing info, the signs are all there! Believe what you want! It’s pretty much a no brainer at this point!

So, based on what I read in this thread is nobody knows anything. Everyone has "people" that know "something". I have been in the dsd\retail industry for a long time and through mutliple companies. These rumors have been going on for ages. Maybe not till recently for this company. One distribution center opening means nothing. I have been seeing walmart building them everywhere for decades now. Lets stop acting like baised assuptions are fact. It is intentionally trying to bring fear and nothing more.

Territories are made that are so inequitable! They say tenure and then geography are the basics for drawing territory lines. BS! It’s very easy to take a pie and divide it equally. Hours, work load, etc! Not even close to what we get!! They try to justify things but in the end, nobody challenges them! Until people do, it will be business as usual for them!

Management has its favorites. Some sales reps work 1000 cases a week. others only work 150 cases same store account same sales objectives. it just depends on who you are.

You are exactly spot on with the fact that no PT merchandiser gets fired either! We are so desperate for employees that there is literally nothing a merchandiser can do to get fired, nothing! We are pathetic!!

And the trucks that come back! Those are ghost orders! Orders written for accounts that don’t exist for the sole purpose of inflating numbers. It’s a practice GS has used for years to achieve objective.

I’ve never seen a manager fired. With that said, I’ve never seen a pt time merchandiser fires either. We would much rather keep a lazy merchandiser than to do additional paperwork, meet up with them to get their materials back, and move people around on the schedule to give “help” where needed.

So a quarter close is when you see “truck loads” come back? You must be talking about pallet or two here and there from a truck. From a store that probably refused an order because of excessive back stock. Because of a quarter close. If you say it’s from a warehouse standpoint, then think about how big of a geography that warehouse covers, how many customers are within that geography, those refusals here and there from the hundreds of customers that warehouse supplies could possibly add up to a “truck load”.

Reason is cause they don’t get fired! HR is an extension of management regardless what happens, HR protects management! He violations are so outrageous it’s embarrassing, yet is continues! Good luck what that Mondelez! Document everything!

Unless you work at the branch you would not see a full truck! They have pulled that c-ap for a long time!!! I’ve been here 20 years and seen it first hand! Also had written directive from my DM to load my stores. Isn’t that violation of the code of conduct! These people speak out of both sides of their mouths! Most unethical place one could imagine! Amazing they have only had one judgement against them for discrimination! My bet is only one person has had the bald to sue! I hope that changes. Only way they will change.

Once again, Fack news. As a Nabisco Driver. Layer, Same on you for making up such a ridiculous statement..

Post ID: @2skf+YZLXV5S

My reality is That I’ve never seen a full trailer at the end of the day . I usually see the drivers at their/my last delivery and it’s the last load coming off the trailer. Another reality is nobody knows when it’s going to happen. It’s all speculation. Reality is yes there are red flags everywhere, CAOs, packaging size, double trailers, Nabiscos logo not on the front of the new design of crackers.

Reality is, I’m going to keep on trucking and see what we get WHEN that time comes.

I’ll cheerlead that reality. Later dudes

As a driver for nabisco I literally had to drive around town with a full trailor load at quarter end then bring the full trailor back at the end of the day when quarter end just so mgrs could hit their numbers. Nabisco got their Lying and deceiving playbook too . Like somebody said Kellogg pen and phone been k--ling nabisco at retail nabisco finally see it

I’m trying to understand what this person trying to sell to the whole world.Call people cheerleaders. Flat out lying . As you see he was a former Keebler sales person because the person posting above is exactly what they did when they sold to the customer. That’s why Keebler is no longer DSD.falsifying company documents all the time. Loading stores full of product to hit objective lying to the stockholders and her shareholders that’s why Keebler is out of the DSD business.

With fuel costs, can’t think of a bigger waste of money! Time to come to your senses and realize your job is ending! Big deal! Find a new one! Use that college degree you got and you’ll be fine, glad I got mine!

Why do you think we transitioned our warehouses to be there football fields long? Why do you think our drivers travel 5-6 hours in a DSD model? Why? Because they have been closing branches and transitioning to these distribution centers. These will feed retailers warehouses and third party distributors. Why do you think our drivers are being trained to drive double trailers? Ever had a semi show up with two trailers at your stores?

First thing that happens when a company goes warehouse from DSD is close warehouses.

That cash cow emoji person is starting to get as annoying as the Nabisco cheerleader guy.

Also, why do you care how much the CEO is paid? Are you family or something? Personally I could care less what he's paid. It does nothing for me.

Also, He's paid that way to keep the company profitable and in business. Don't think he wouldn't cut all of us to keep his money coming.

Dsd will end. I have no clue when and obviously the people posting on any date so far have been 100% wrong. But my goodness, the hardliners here are annoying

The purpose of this site, and people posting information isn’t to make people scared! That in itself is an issue! I’m amongst those that will be affected, and I’m not scared. I appreciate the heads up. Lots of opportunities out there, when one door closes another opens.

Ignoring facts won’t change things! If it is proof you want, or need, you will need to wait for the official announcement or call from HR. This site is for people to share posts about what is happening NOW. If it frightens you, don’t visit this site. Again, it won’t change the outcome.

I do know for a fact, Kroger has planned to eliminate DSD. This was a part of their 5 year forecast, about 5 years ago. A close friend who worked for Kroger GO shared this with me, knowing I would be affected. Now we see this come to fruition. A few years back Mondelez started a process of closing warehouses, consolidating to the new DC’s. Kroger built a new $60 million dollar facility (three football fields long or longer) to house vendors. So far Keebler and Hostess are there, Nestle on the way. Every red flag and indicator point to an exit for us. Hard to ignore. On top of that we have management, known to lie, trying desperately to conceal things. Excuses etc..

If you take all this and are scared, perhaps you should start using your company resources to talk to someone, before your benefits expire! Being scared is natural, being ignorant is pathetic.

It honestly hard to read post just for the soul purpose of making people scared. Do any of you actually have any proof of Mondelez is leaving DSD or our we going to continue to make speculative judgments?

Post ID: @rwf+YZLXV5S

Just because we believe DSD is ending, and it is, does that qualify one to be a “dsd” hater? I don’t get the analogy there! It’s more about a reality.

It’s hard to read the painful posts such as, “were too big”, “why would my DM lie”, “they value me”, etc.. We are far from “too big”! And yes, retailers have warehouses with plenty of space to accommodate Mondelez as well as other retailers. Personally I’ve never thrown out a date, I agree only top management knows that! Are these ex Keebler people posting? I highly doubt it! If they were bitter why would they not want to see Mondelez succeeded? Wouldn’t that be the intimate revenge?

I think it’s more about Mondelez employees that are afraid to face reality! Reality is that Mondelez has been setting Mondelez up for an exit from dsd, regardless of what anyone says! They closed branches all over the county and strategically placed the DC in proximity to retailers DC or third party warehouses. It’s disappointing to have senior management lie to its own employees, and this is far from the first time Mondelez management has done this!

How people react is an individual decision! I for one don’t care put forth anymore for this company! I use my time to network! I’ve found my merchandisers other jobs and they are grateful as they have families!

They “business as usual” people need to really stop embarrassing themselves with their stupid comments!!
