I was watching Thor - he's the God of Thunder and our Chukie is the god of Layoffs ! One has a hammer the other one has the layoff axe !

To 1exu ... I think the expression should be 'not getting laid'.
A layoff would be merciful at this point! We are picking up the slack from the falling and instead of getting help, the work is piling up.
