I wanted to share my experience to see if maybe it help even one person dealing with the layoffs.
I was laid off in February and I hit the ground running with updating my resume and cover letter. I then applied everywhere almost anywhere. I was not getting any feedback from any of the companies that I wanted to work for. This made me very depressed and angry at myself. This lead to arguments between myself and my spouse, friends and family who just trying to help me. I felt worthless and unwanted and felt like I was never going to get another job.
Finally I accepted their help and feedback on my resume and cover letter. I applied to better suited jobs on Indeed and started getting hits! The past two weeks I have had 8+ phone interviews with jobs at companies I could see myself doing. It's very easy to get down on yourself but you need to stay positive if you are in a similar position like me. I could get an offer soon, I could not, but either way I'm going stay positive and continue applying, networking, and interviewing. Stay Strong out there my laid off and employed friends!
