Oracle has always had a culture of assholishness. Ask any customer or biographer of LE.

sorry to burst your bubble but Oracle has always been this way, I've been here for 15 years and the climate is always political, nasty, unfair and never about expertise. It's about $$$, revenue, stock price and pushing half baked products out the door that only work on a ppt. Nothing different now, you should consider yourself lucky if you got a package and push out the door.
They were a--holes to customers, but cool to their own Engineers.
Oracle had layoffs due to performance and lack of profits. But they did their best to redeploy people internally.
This one is different. It's purely politically motivated. And they are basically saying f--- you if you want another internal deployment.
Oracle, until today, was one of the few places where you didn't have to jockey to go into the right Executive VP. Now you got to know who is the sneakiest snake in the org chart and jump in there. It's sad that Oracle became this.
