Subaccounting business is standing around waiting for something to happen

The subaccounting business in KOP has been standing around with little new work to do since January 1. Very little work is being handed out to us and we're mainly working on small items or finishing up with projects previously written up. Very soon that work will disappear.

We have been told week to week that clients are prioritizing projects. It's getting to be late March. Still nothing.

Budgets we were told were getting worked out. Not sure if that was finalized but what we saw was a dramatic drop in client specific work. Cut in half to be precise. Budget is geared toward risk & resiliency but I have never seen one get assigned.

Goals have not been assigned - and that means we missed the corporate date. Not sure what that means to us.

I am managing a new group of good people that will soon have no work at all. I have no idea how to do my job, but I am not sure that even matters. Maybe we are in this mess because the end is near. I will try to support my team until the very end, but my fingers crossed that I will soon get a package and be on my way. I only hope others are considering the probable situation so they are not caught off guard.

it appears that your area is being wound down. Better to explore outside opportunities ASAP.
