What's going on? Has anybody heard anything yet?

Must be nice to get a raise soon.
We don't get any raises cos we are just a bunch of front line support engineers.
you obviously did not get the memo..... not giving you a raise is their way of saying get another job, we don't want you here anymore....
Seattle OCI employees in 2018 did not receive a pay raise. Even the engineers in OCI who are the ones that are being told how bright the future is aren't even getting raises. We were all expecting raises but we had to wait until the raise didn't appear to find out. This is Oracle's strategy for their employees, not giving raises and hoping no one makes a fuss...in Seattle lol...
Redwood Shores, CA team main campus the whole creative team has been laid off. Literally, who will do the updates for the www.oracle.com ?
How many people are being let go in Broomfield?
Remember before you take another job, "The only difference between chattle slavery and wages is wages are temporary".
Here in Mexico the layoffs were handled as follows:
Around 50 were let go. There was a mandatory all-hands event outside the office for the teams. While some teams were hearing about how great Oracle was doing, some other folks were cited in a remote hotel to get RIF-ed. By the time the all-hands event ended and the teams came back to the office (~ 3 hrs) our coworkers were gone, some of the people I knew for years.
No loyalty or human touch remains in this company.
Solaris and ZFSSA were gutted. We got told there will be no more releases only bug fixes from now.
Mark and Safra have ice running through their veins. They don't care, it's just a number on a spreadsheet.
Anyone 40 and over? Time for a class action
I would have had 25 years in July. Most of my team is laid off today. Love my team. Love my co-workers, but the company has been mismanaged and now loyal, productive employees are paying the price. I’m sure Mark and Safra and the Man will sleep well though.
Many of the marketing folks laid off today had more than 20 years’ experience at Oracle.
I was told 50% of my former coworkers. I left in 2017. Legacy Sun
Yes, it has.
How long are you guys on payroll? I hope they give some time to search jobs outside. Especially for H1B, OPT employees
I've been told 20% layoff by my former co-workers at Oracle. (I left in 2016.)
Over 50 heads just rolled in Manchester NH. Entire groups let go.
Yes
OCI platform was impacted at multiple levels, not sure on the numbers yet but double digits
50 let go in Brand marketing today. Corporate folks.
Already started seeing Thank you mails from many folks.
OCI BizOps notifying in group meetings over the phone and in-person in Seattle as I type this. Spineless jerks. Employee notified in a group that tomorrow is their last day and then get an appt with HR for tomorrow. How disrespectful can you get?!?
"Anybody in Broomfield impacted? Tape? Exa? Solaris? Seems strange to layoff cloud folks but none of the legacy, zero profit products"
Is there anyone left to impact in BRM?
But then I remembered what OCI project code name is (or at least used to be). Sparta. So, throwing people over the cliff is perfectly appropriate. :-(
That’s horrible, you would think someone would tell him where to shove his “strategic imperatives”.
Yes, Solaris is being hit in the US today. Not sure about AK but would not be surprised

Mexico employees in OCI, SaaS, OAL notified yesterday afternoon. Number somewhere around 40. US employees are today and it includes OCI (Seattle may be more safe than other locations because DJ is a d--k and acts like the sun rises and sets in that city).
The whole point of unlimited vacation is when an employee leaves the company, Oracle owes zero vacation. A lot of money saved in a mass layoffs situation.
Sorry you were selected but get over the vacation pay thing - there is NO payout for unlimited vacation. You don't accrue any vacation and you don't get paid for any.
Do not trust the 3 J stooges
Also no payout for unlimited vacation, worked whole year 18 hours a day not taking even one day off, result was axed with 0 $ paid out for vacation!
No.
@Ybypz57-mdk : I was going onsite 3 days a week, could work from home when needed. was on employment visa !
Don: OCI’s business is stronger than ever, and this team’s future is bright. I want to thank you all for your continued support as we double down on our strategic imperatives
That's kinda beautiful.
@Ybypz57-mdk were you remote? Also omc east coast and have not heard anything.
OMC, USA Eastcoast- I'm a Senior Engineer asked to leave!
Can anyone share which orgs and locations have been impacted?
test
Ybypz57-uqv: That's terrible. I am so glad I left this company.
We got an org wide email about how great everything is going. Seems kind of perverted to send an email about how great everything is at the same time you are RIF-ing people in that same org. I guess it is supposed to mean everything is great for those who still have a job
