What are the obvious signs that the Oracle HR is calling you for layoff ? Do they directly call you while you are working? Or ask you manager to do the job ? Do they allow any backup ?

They send a fedex envelope to your home.
Sign up with fedex to get msnaged delivery service or words to that effect. Then you csb view lavels created by oracle to be sent to your home. I got it in 2017.
The phone rings, and caller ID says it is someone from HR.
A co-worker was called very early in the morning (without previous meeting invite) by another director of the organization, and she told him he was being laid off. His boss was also laid off without previous notice and also the rest of his team. This happened almost a year ago.
In some cases, DMs were also being laid off so then it fell to their boss. Usually a last minute request to meet.
Your managers manager schedules a meeting at 4pm for 9am the next morning titled "HR Meeting".
I think I dodged a bullet this week, at least for now. Director above the boss sent meeting invite as placeholder to entire team for noon yesterday then sent cancellation 1 hour prior saying no need for the meeting. Looks like the team got a last minute reprieve from above.
no backup nothing, my case manager scheduled 1-1 and said he can disclose the subject, thanks to this site I knew what was coming. Last week he said, any one could be laid off.. and yesterday he broke the news.
they don't care about your work etc... I bet the work I did last 6 months will be sc-apped!
Group VP called me and delivered news, my direct manager wasn't even aware. Expecting FedEx today.
