Thread regarding Xerox Corp. layoffs

Will Xerox be the next Lehmann Brothers or Enron?

What is the possibility that Xerox will be shut down?

Given that the stock is up 75% since the start of the year and EFI was just sold at a 45% premium to a private equity firm for $1.7 Billion in CASH, I'd say we are good as sold within the next 6 months.

Dex was sold to Staples which is funded by private equity at a premium as well. Dan C. (Former GIS CEO) just signed on as CEO of NovaTech which is another private equity funded acquirer of private dealerships.

For an industry that is said to be in decline, there sure are a lot of people spending lots of money to get in.

Won’t be surprised if the entire company phases itself out the rate they are going.

More likely we will be like the next TWA (Trans World Airlines)

Xerox already went through the Enron scenario in or around the year 2000. This is entirely different. Believe it or not there is some light at the end of the tunnel, dim as it may be. I think the biggest concern right now is what is going to happen when either the Fuji law suit winds up in court (could cost $1B which would wipe out the "cash flow" as they call it) or what remains of the company after Icahn and Deason give it all up for big cash.

@YdYaSJr-thy - You obviously are unfamiliar with how the stock market and a capitalist economy works. Please move and find work in Venezuela or Cuba. I hear jobs are plentiful there!

I hear North Korea is beautiful in the springtime.

EPS exceeded projections. Analysts have target price of $36 and stock rated a buy. If they manage to sell leasing majority of debt will be off the books. Company looks solid from the outside.

It will only take an attentive stock market analyst or an unconflicted auditor to reset XRX valuation in line with reality. Amazes me the stock price didn’t tank after the last investor smoke and mirrors circus.

Make no mistake, the fortune made by Icahn and Deason won’t be small.

0% to None. What is the likelihood Xerox is sold to the highest bidder and Icahn and Deason make a small fortune? 90-100%
