Thread regarding Oracle Corp. layoffs

Seattle office layoffs?

Did people in OCI Seattle get let go? What is going to happen to interviews happening in that team?

Yikes. Folks that remain at Oracle, let's try not to be cancerous to ourselves. We need to grow cloud, so we need resources there. We need to fund cloud's growth, so we need resources to keep working on on-prem.

Most likely nobody posting here made these layoff decisions. The last thing we need is to start taking it out on each other. If you have data to share, please do. Name-calling is not constructive and just makes everyone feel worse about an already-disheartening event.

“OCi = Azure and AWS rejects”

More like

OCI developer = Rejected Azure/AWS/GCI tester

Man. Positively blown away by that customer list, you can rarely see such important names in one place.

To be fair, a bit shocked to see FICO listed since SW is brilliant, no nonsense, guy. Then noticed that they are "testing" one of their apps. Some cloud credits going spare?

"I can not understand whey OCI in Seattle got laid off even though they are part of our future business growing. Are there any reasons for that Oracle has to cut them?"

Gee, who knows? Maybe because they haven't delivered anything of value?

How is the OracleCloud work coming. Is ORCL still paying $250k-$350K for Java devs?

FWIW, those Bay Area relics are the ones paying the bills and keeping the lights on.

There really shouldn’t be any Seattle layoffs until the lazy relics in the Bay Area and old oracle get purged.

Yes, lots of people on Seattle got canned. Many recent hires too.

Sad.
