Will they be renewing the lease or just close the store?

Our lease expired in September 2017. We signed a new 5 year lease which would have expired September 2022. Our store closed January 2019. Leases mean nothing.
How many of the stores closed over the past couple of years had their leases renewed beforehand?
Mine got renewed to 2024. Store closed. Doesn't mean a dog gone thing. Done and gone.
@xnq - Renewed leases don't mean a thing. They renewed the lease on our Sears store for three years and then shut us down eighteen months later.
Is that even English? WTF
