If a tier three club has seven managers and the O/N Mgr. works 2 to 12 or 11:30pm, it does not take a lot of calculation to figure that there is either going to be a lot of doubling up on managers in the building or another manager layoff. Especially if any truth to the rumor that the Clubs will start to open at 10am in order to push clink and pull. Anyone have any information?

You still have jewelry leads that lead no one and comp shoppers that are obsolete we don’t have a membership lead And have lost several team leads to MIT that have yet to be replaced ?? So what is going on this cannot be the end result our overnight is already on days and our PTC I done Friday ?

@joi nobody is safe. PTC was the backbone of the club and they're gone. Audit was needed as well as night stockers staying overnight to get more done. The big boys in HO don't care about what's needed. They cut anyone. No heart and definitely no brain.
MSS are about the only safe position right now. That's because we're the backbone of the front end. Plus we help in Jewelry, T-b-cco and Membership when we are not supposed to per a Regional AP.
Be on the lookout for something to happen once the elimination of the PTC position is completed by March 29th. My guess would be that nothing will change again until the full implementation of daylight stocking occurs company-wide. The addition of a manager and a team lead from overnights will undoubtedly shake up the current manager and lead structure. How that structure will change has been rumored in detail on this site many places.
Here is what COULD HAPPEN....
Fresh managers go from 2 positions to 1. Not sure about how many Fresh lead positions remain, but consolidation to fewer leads is almost certain. Membership Lead position is eliminated, but a similar Order Specialist Lead position is created to drive Club Pickup acceleration. Technology Lead is eliminated since Mobility (Cell Phones) have been farmed out to 3rd party (DirectTV). Floor leads are rearranged and now are called “Mechandise” leads. Overnight lead, Grocery lead and Center lead remain. Overnight Manager assumes Grocery Manager duties and runs the floor with the current General Merchandise Manager. AP Manager remains and renews total focus of compliance and shrink reduction like position was structured before. TMA Lead is a wild card, could see it going away because department is now one of the smallest areas in club that would still have a lead (supervising 6-8 total associates). Front End Supervisors is also a hard one to pin down, so many clubs run with too many COS’s, while some are super busy with very few.
