Thread regarding Bed Bath & Beyond layoffs

This is why im upset!

I have done my fair share of posts here but none have been untruthful. When BBB laid off managers in aug of 2017, I lost alot of respect and loyalty to this company. There were lots of good managers let go. Then we had to take up the slack. Yes the company has to make cuts to survive, but have any cuts been made from the top with bonuses, stock options etc? Seems to me the ones getting the raw end are the ones who helped build this company. Im sorry but anyone loyal at this point should carefully look where thier loyalty lies.

Very well put. Everything you said is the absolute truth. They need to stop play catting to the share holders. This company was very well established before it went public and didn’t need the investors to be what it became. Save it now and not at the expense of the people who do their best at their jobs everyday. Bad leadership at the top.

Everyday I come to work and there is some new system issue. I can’t print replenishment, the registers are down, the scanners are down, the label makers arent connecting, customers can’t pull up coupons, items ringing up for free. We literally cannot do anything right lately.

We continue to invest in unreliable technology. ASO isn’t building the correct quantities. MyHR was a complete bomb. My source is worse than bednet. The new walkie talkies keep losing service. The epic reclass mess. And apparently a new auto scheduling system that I’m hearing has mixed reviews. I can’t think of a new system that has been rolled out for years that has actually made my job easier.

And after we roll out these horrible systems we cut more hours and lose even more sales all while the executives in the company are making millions.

I pray for the best, but it’s probabky to late to stop the slide. We have no vision, no game plan and we’re not prepared to compete in today’s environment. We can’t just throw things against the wall to see what sticks for much longer.
