Thread regarding Xerox Corp. layoffs

People should be hoping to be laid off

Folks, Xerox is as done as it can be. Those laid off are the lucky ones, the rest of us who are still stuck here are the ones everybody should be feeling sorry for.

I'm just hoping my name is on one of the layoff lists before the company goes bankrupt or even worse - liquidates.

By the way - business at Global was booming - not declining - Xerox has effectively killed the Global companies. Xerox is dead and has now taken the healthy companies down with it. Hope Mike V likes his disaster - of course he gets his millions anyway!

Xerox will be sold by the end of the year. There is no doubt about it. No need for vision or innovation when you aren't going to be around much longer. Just put some fresh paint on the walls and mow the front yard. They just have to get some lipstick on this pig so it sells!

Op is correct and those arguing back are not too bright. Xerox can not permanently ride an annuity that is shrinking at a massive Compound annual rate. These decisions are not turnaround strategy related. They are to aggressively shrink the cost basis very quickly to pump up an eps with a terrible revenue shrinkage. This will be in spite of the customer. Cash flow will go to stock buy backs, not investments into Xerox or customers. There is no new innovation coming to market that fits a market need. Xerox is dying. - my opinion backed up by many facts

Please go find another job. You are likely not productive at Xerox and it will impact your health. There are jobs out there.

For those of us deep into our career that don't want (or need) to start over, we will continue to do what we can to keep Xerox going and hopefully grow.

Yes, recent changes s--- for those impacted. Xerox is not encouraging younger people to stay with an unknown long term. That is what we should worry about, is having only older people left near retirement with nobody remaining to take to torch.

@YfvuFtP - You are pathetic. Have you never faced any adversity in your life? You just want to lay down and wait for the world to pass you by? Please, do your fellow colleagues a favor and LEAVE. Go work for Ruby Tuesdays or McDonalds or something, somewhere where your lack of desire will have little to no impact.

Xerox is not dead. Sure, there are some major changes happening, but this has been significantly impacted by the declining industry we are in. There is still an opportunity for those of us who stay, and it may be with another company that we merge with, but good God man. That attitude will get you nowhere in life!
