Thread regarding Xerox Corp. layoffs

Playing with fire?

Am I the only one that thinks that performing a larger amount of layoffs in these circumstances is risky for a company whose reputation is on the line as it is. Anybody can say what they want, but with a bigger reduction of the headcount experience and talent will be walking out the door, which could result in a drop of quality of the final product, not to mention development. Is that something Xerox can afford at this point?

Xerox does NOT care!!

They don't care about the customer!

They certainly don't care about the employees who worked their asses off!

They only care about lining their pockets with $$$$$$$$

SO DISGUSTING!!!!!!

Disinformation or lack there of is very unsettling for those of us left. I have a great feeling of uneasiness as do many of you fellow Xerox workers. We are all hanging in there for our own personal reasons. One thing is for sure, this CEO could give a rats a-- about dedicated Xerox employees. So many laid off or dumped to HCL and decided later if their needed or not. What an absolutely sh--ty way to treat your employees!

Steve Hoover just announce he is retiring from Xerox. What RPD/GDG organizational changes will be made only increases anxiety on my end. THIS PLACE NEEDS LEADERSHIP WITH A REAL VISION!

Cash over quality

This is clearly the strategy they adopted. The question is what this strategy really is. And there is much speculation on this site about where Xerox is being lead to. The facts seem to point to upcoming spin offs and disposal of parts of the company. Hardly anyone here still believes in “technology powerhouse” propaganda. I do not.
