Just remember guys....on your last day of work- always leave a revenge dump. My last day was last week and I left a double deuce in the top tank for management.

I'd like to transfer to Transformco in order to keep working but do not agree with arbitration being compulsory. I didn't sign it the last time they tried this. Does the Segno "click here to admit you have no choice" button mean that if I don't click it I don't want my job? Or are they tricking us?? I don't think in the description it says anything about it being mandatory to click that button if you want to work for Transformco. Only that you agree to arbitration and that you read the material. Probably too late to decide this now anyway. I'm going to have to click on it tomorrow.

@9tbg. You are 100% correct. Why is everyone making such a big deal over this? Either sign it or leave.

The employment offer (it is explicitly NOT a contract) contains the same boilerplate arbitration and waiver of rights everyone signed with SHLD. The only difference is the changing of the company name.

Does the contract include a mandatory arbitration agreement or waiver of rights to file a lawsuit against transformco? Saw that in the press today and wanted to see if anyone can confirm or offer more detail?

@iwqq

Like anything they probably want it done ASAP from the top down. Individual managers might push for it more, I mean if they have to can anyone because they didn’t sign it’s just people they’re gonna have to replace. Who knows what Eddie will do in that regard, might make it harder to get people so why short your store even more?

I have another job and only work 1-2 days at sears

If the date is April 20th to sign this new contract that’s fine, but what annoys me is that our store manager is pushing this April 6th date because of his own need to control.. why not use the 13th then he has a one week leeway but to cut the deadline to April 6th is not necessary at all..

It's very similar to what I had to sign when I was laid off last year. My advice to you is to just sign it. Then, if you are not happy how things are going on the job, just put together a resume and look for a new job with a company that is healthy and profitable and put this drama behind you. Eddie & Co just stiffed the pensioners by letting PBGC corp take over and I read this morning he cancelled retiree health insurance. They won't hesitate to slice your job when things go badly in the next year or so... and there is a good chance they will.

The deadline is the 20th. Your store manager is saying the 6th so you won’t wait until the last minute. HR will be bugging the store manager everyday of lists of people who are not compliant. If you refuse to sign just tell your manager and they will communicate to HR as you are forfeiting your job. This is not mandatory if you don’t like it then your quiting. Very simple.

@inlj are you meaning if you don’t sign this form and they fire you that they cd refuse your unemployment claim stating refusal to sign form as reason your claim to unemployment being denied?

Are we able to get a copy of this form to read or take home before signing?

I am only part time so I don’t understand why I have to sign this form as they can’t pay below min wage and I get no other benefits from this company. I am in a state where they can fire you for any reason or no reason at all so what’s the real point of this form?

Eddie doing another end around to avoid paying unemployment insurance liability. His lawyers are really setting a precedence for other companies to f-over their employees. Get out. No win situation here.

I was told by my manager today that I have til April 6th

Is it the 20th or the 6th?

Could this just be my store manager making up his own date?

Yes the 20th. And I do not agree to waive my rights of lawsuit availability against transformco if my pay is decreased. I think we should all seriously get together and not sign it. What can they do fire everyone? Yea right, now I'm in A&E service and there's about 4100 of us nationwide. We are pretty hard to replace quickly by Sears due to training and all the asset assigning an so on. I want to have a lawyer look this whole thing over in all seriousness. It's BS if you ask me, just a way to protect themselves when they lower everyone's pay.
