Thread regarding Xerox Corp. layoffs

HCL introduction calls have are not productive

The calls we have attended are not only impossible to follow but, are vague in shedding light on many unanswered questions. Considering IF you even received the invites as it was pointed out, there are many errors on the rebadging list, invites, and confirmation emails or even acceptance notices.

One key question asked in today’s call, “when will I have to train my replacement” and a response of “ I don’t no have the schedule yet “ was provided. What does one think when receiving such a response right after the comment that we know we have many errors? Sounds like even HCL lacks confidence in all this. How confident are you this 12-18 months really exists?

They don't care if there is a plan in place to have a solid transition of responsibilities - it's all about cutting expenses. The long term here is IRRELEVANT to them. Please be proactive and take steps to protect yourselves.

The whole thing is so unorganized, I've honestly never seen anything like it, you can't rebadge part of a company, it just doesn't make sense, I work at a smaller core, I do about 6 different jobs, I get a ton of emails and have like 10 crazy issues I'm dealing with on top of my regular workload on any given day, how do you outsource a job I've been perfecting for years??? I would like to see the plans, that is if they even exist, I seriously have my doubts!

I have zero confidence that the 12-18 month thing exists. I'm sure they have it written on some document somewhere, but with the caveat that SOME employees will probably be downsized (probably sooner than later).

I stand corrected. I was looking at one per pay period and the other per month. Sorry for any confusion

Benefits cost almost twice as much as I paid at Xerox. I do not know if I consider that as better.

They will learn your role to see if they can automate or outsource it. If they can, you’ll be laid off. If they can’t, you’ll be returned to Xerox.

They don’t want you to leave right away, so the benefits are a bit better than Xerox offers. It’s all very calculated.
