So many negative posts here, I'm starting to wonder if I might be the only person left who actually enjoys working here. Yes, I'm worried about layoffs like everybody else is, but other than that I am paid well, have decent benefits, and I do what I enjoy.
I'm not saying people don't have the right to feel the way they do, I guess my point is that I'm sad to see so many people unhappy in a place that was once considered one of the best to work at (and still is for some of us.)
While pay is not great, the friendly atmosphere and closeness to where I live are the only reason I’m still here.
Managers and supervisors look after themselves and not the lower positioned employees, poor pay increases each year are among the negatives.
Dell is a great place to work. They have taken care of me through family crisis, lay-offs, and illness. Are they perfect? No, but they're not terrible, either. I've had good managers and terrible managers. But it was up to me to keep looking and apply myself to move forward in my career. I have continually looked for new opportunities and apply for new positions.
Currently, Dell is providing me with the most flexible work/life balance I've ever had in my career. I'm working remotely from home and manage my workday as I see fit. As long as I put in my 8-hours a day, I can take time to pick up my kids at school, or I can drop them off at practice. Yes, I make up the time later that evening.
No. I wonder what percentage of the people who responded here actually work st Dell? My guess is pretty low.
Another week and no work, as long as free paycheck is coming none in NDC or 176 Hopkinton will quit. It’s so soothing that most don’t come to work or will go at will and with no work and no road map in storage. Politics rule only in this company. All insiders survived, guess it’s better to kiss a-- and do you know what.....then get laid off.

It’s 10 to 4 Monday to Thursday at Hopkinton, Friday is work from home, which means no work. Seriously is there any work to do in VMAX, NDC and MDC for years. Everyone will continue to work and collect fat and free paycheck.
It's good someone is doing work at Dell. I have been sitting around for a few years now not doing any work since there is nothing to do. It gets boring but the paycheck is nice so I will hang around.
i love to work there. there are days like dilbert's : i did nothing today and i still got paid.
are you a people manager? or consultant? These guys literally don't have to work just direct. Except a few. not all. But you get the gist.

I enjoyed it for the first 5 or 6 years, then the last two it got progressively worse to the point I left just over a year ago. Didn't realize how dysfunctional Dell had become until I started working elsewhere after 8 years on the inside. You'll probably find the same once you're on the outside too.
No you are not. The difference is that just like review sites, the negative people tend to comment more. I also enjoy working for Dell. And I came in just after the Dell EMC merger on the Dell EMC side.
