Me and a couple thousand former XO employees got one week of pay for each year of service. Had we lasted one more month we would have gotten two weeks for each year. Gee, wonder why they didn't wait one more month? ;) I was 61, with 10 1/2 years at XO/Verizon at the time.
Yep. I took the same package from Time Warner in 2014.

Would surely stink to be 54 and not eligible.
I cannot imagine anyone who would not take that package. That is a true retirement enabler.
